.ATLAS Registry Policies & Compliance Standards
Authoritative rules safeguarding root-zone integrity, data privacy, intellectual property rights, and zero tolerance for DNS abuse.
1. DNS Abuse Mitigation Policy
The .ATLAS Registry maintains zero tolerance for malicious activities. We actively monitor and rapidly remediate phishing, malware distribution, botnet command & control infrastructure, and technical abuse.
Abuse Reporting SLA: Verified threat intelligence processed within 24 hours. Report to: abuse@nic.atlas
2. WHOIS & RDAP Privacy Policy
In full alignment with GDPR and ICANN Temporary Specifications, personal registration records are redacted by default in public RDAP queries. Legitimate law enforcement, cybersecurity researchers, and intellectual property counsel can request gated access through standardized credential verification.
3. Rights Protection Mechanisms (RPMs)
All registrations under .ATLAS are subject to the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) and the Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS) system. Trademark Clearinghouse Sunrise requirements are strictly enforced during pre-launch periods.
4. Spatial Data Integrity Policy
Because .ATLAS serves geospatial systems and autonomous navigation vectors, domain owners publishing coordinate resource records must ensure compliance with WGS84 standards. Intentional spoofing of emergency services coordinates constitutes immediate grounds for domain cancellation.
